Ingredients

For the Cake

  • 1 box white cake mix

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1⅓ cups water

  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream


For the Filling

  • 7 oz marshmallow fluff

  • ¾ cup salted butter (room temperature)

  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 2–4 tbsp heavy cream or milk


For the Coating

  • 32 oz white almond bark or white candy melts

  • 3 tbsp vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother coating)


For Decoration

  • Green sanding sugar

  • Red icing or red-colored filling for stripes
