Instructions
-
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. -
Mix Dough
In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, eggs, baking powder, and salt. Stir until blended.
Add the gluten-free flour gradually and mix until a dough forms. The dough should be soft but not overly sticky — add a little extra flour if needed. -
Shape Bagels
Lightly flour your hands and work surface. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces.
Roll each piece into a rope about 6–7 inches long and form into a circle, pinching the ends to seal. -
Add Toppings
If desired, brush the tops with a tiny bit of water and sprinkle with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or everything seasoning. -
Bake
Place bagels on the lined baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until lightly golden and cooked through. -
Cool & Serve
Let bagels cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy warm or toasted with your favorite toppings!
Tips & Variations
-
For a more traditional bagel texture, boil bagels briefly in water before baking (optional).
-
You can add herbs or garlic powder to the dough for savory flavor.
-
To make dairy-free, substitute cottage cheese with a firm dairy-free yogurt and adjust flour as needed.
